Operation Breaking Ozark: Drug/Money Tracing and Prevention
Original Mission created by RENSIC.
Submit Your Research MissionMission Overview
The use of meth, fentanyl, coke, heroin and other hardcore drugs is devastating communities across the US. This mission aims to trace the supply chains, identify key distribution nodes, and uncover any systemic or governmental failures that allow these networks to operate, as well as trace its money. By aggregating data from public records, arrest logs, and community reports, we can build a comprehensive map of the drug trade.
Researchers are tasked with mapping these connections using open-source intelligence (OSINT) techniques to transform fragmented data into a cohesive evidentiary narrative. The objective is to move beyond speculation and produce verifiable reports that can withstand legal challenges. This involves identifying specific entities, verifying transaction timestamps, and corroborating distribution networks with secondary records. Through this decentralized effort, we aim to build an immutable record of accountability that bypasses traditional gatekeepers and ensures that the truth remains accessible to the public, providing the necessary pressure for real-world fact-verification and prevention.
Primary Objective
Identification of actionable data points for legal review and community prevention.
Scope
Multi-jurisdictional supply chain and network mapping.
Goal
To trace the supply chains of hardcore drugs, including potential government involvement or negligence, and to develop actionable, preventative strategies that can be implemented at the community level.
Mandatory Tools First
In order to participate in this Mission, ProofMode is required for physical evidence gathering, alongside specialized open-source forensic tools for digital and financial analysis:
ProofMode
A lightweight app that turns your phone into a secure evidence-gathering device by automatically adding cryptographic signatures and metadata. Essential for capturing verifiable photos or videos of physical locations, suspected distribution nodes, or shell company addresses.
proofmode.orgWhen you download ProofMode, this is what you need to do before you use it:
- ProofMode: Video set to 1080 30fps. DO NOT use 4K video. Ensure location services are enabled for accurate metadata.
Open Source Forensic Tools (Digital & Financial Analysis):
OpenCorporates
The largest open database of companies in the world. Essential for tracing shell companies and corporate networks used for money laundering.
opencorporates.comPACER
Public Access to Court Electronic Records. Crucial for accessing federal court dockets, arrest logs, and financial disclosures.
pacer.uscourts.govOCCRP Aleph
An investigative data platform that helps trace assets, companies, and individuals across global public records and leaks.
aleph.occrp.orgLittleSis
A free database detailing the connections between powerful people and organizations, useful for mapping systemic enablers.

Research Protocol
SOP-HC: Hardcore Narcotics Supply Chain & Network Mapping
1. Objective
To standardize the transformation of raw open-source data (arrest logs, public health statistics, court dockets, property records, and community reports) into verified evidentiary packages that map the supply chains, distribution nodes, and financial flows of hardcore drugs (meth, fentanyl, cocaine, heroin).
2. Execution Guide
- Supply Chain Tracing: Identify and document the physical movement of narcotics from origin to local distribution nodes using public arrest records, border seizure reports, and transportation logs.
- Financial Forensics: Trace the money laundering operations and financial networks supporting these distribution rings through public business registries, real estate transactions, and court financial disclosures.
- Systemic Failure Analysis: Document instances of governmental negligence, corruption, or systemic failures that enable these networks to operate, utilizing public official records, FOIA requests, and policy analyses.
- Corroboration: Every claim must be backed by at least two independent, verifiable sources (e.g., an arrest record corroborated by a local news report or court docket).
3. Submission Structure
Every submission must be uploaded as a compressed archive containing exactly four components. Failure to include any component will result in a Validator Rejection and no payout.
| Component | File Format | Requirement |
|---|---|---|
| A. The Evidence Matrix | .json | Machine-readable metadata for the smart contract. |
| B. The Proof of Origin | .pdf / .png | Raw, unaltered source document with a hash. |
| C. The Methodology Log | .txt | Step-by-step "audit trail" of how the data was found. |
| D. The Expert Summary | A signed statement of findings (The "Affidavit"). |
4. Ethical & Legal Compliance
No PII Leaks: Do not include data on unrelated third parties, victims, or minors. Focus strictly on distribution nodes and systemic enablers.
No Hacking: Only Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) is permitted. Data obtained via unauthorized access (hacking) will be rejected and the user blacklisted.
Mission Downloads
The following files are pre-configured specifically for Operation Breaking Ozark: Drug/Money Tracing and Prevention. Citizen Researchers can use these templates to compile legally verifiable, corroborating evidence for submission to municipal authorities or courts.
Submission Requirements
Citizen Researchers are required to submit these two files (completely filled out; the .json is pre-filled with Mission-specific metadata) alongside the raw evidence ProofMode video or photo files for full review, validation, and payment.
