There is a huge "bio-hacking" and "wellness" community interested in EMF exposure. Prolonged exposure to high Electromagnetic Fields (EMF) from urban infrastructure has raised concerns regarding potential impacts on sleep, stress levels, and overall cellular health. It feels a bit like a "high-tech ghost hunt," turning a normal walk into an investigation of the invisible forces surrounding us and their potential biological effects.
The Goal: Identifying high Electromagnetic Field (EMF) areas near power lines, old transformers, or industrial sites to map "Invisible Urban Stressors."
The Task: Walk near a piece of heavy utility infrastructure (like those big green boxes on the sidewalk or under high-tension wires). Hold the phone near it and record the "uT" (microtesla) spike.
The Data: A screenshot of the magnetometer reading showing the uT spike, cryptographically verified to ensure authenticity.
Mandatory Tools First
In order to participate in Missions, you will need at least one of these two apps for all missions. Other specialized tools may be required by the Mission:

A lightweight app that turns your phone into a secure evidence-gathering device by automatically adding cryptographic signatures and metadata.

- Phyphox: Open the "Magnetic Field" or "Magnetometer" tool to measure in microteslas (µT).
- ProofMode: Ensure it is running in the background to sign your screenshots.
Open Source Forensic Tools (Digital & Network Analysis):
ExifTool
A platform-independent Perl library plus a command-line application for reading, writing and editing meta information in a wide variety of files. Essential for verifying the authenticity and timestamps of the captured screenshots.

The "EMF Spike" Methodology
Directive MG-01: Urban EMF Mapping
To accurately map the intrusion of electromagnetic fields into public spaces, we must capture the uT spikes near heavy utility infrastructure.
Phase 1: Location & Baseline Setup
Navigate to a piece of heavy utility infrastructure (like big green boxes on the sidewalk or under high-tension wires).
Critical App Setup Requirements
To create verifiable evidence, configure your data collection apps in this specific order:
- First, set up ProofMode: Ensure it is running in the background to cryptographically sign all screenshots and media captured during the session.
- Next, open your Analyzer: Have your Phyphox app ready to record the Magnetic Field.
Phase 2: The Reading
This phase captures the core data mapping the EMF spike.
- The Action: Hold the phone near the infrastructure and observe the "uT" (microtesla) spike.
- The Capture: Take a clear screenshot of the Phyphox magnetometer reading showing the peak uT spike.
- The Data Output: A ProofMode-verified screenshot representing the EMF spike of that specific location.
Milestones
This mission is structured in three progressive milestones to map the EMF spikes across various urban environments.
Milestone 1: Initial Data Collection
$150Goal: Gather the first wave of baseline readings from urban infrastructure.
- Reward the first 15 users for submitting verified EMF spike screenshots.
Milestone 2: Data Synthesis & Mapping

- Fund a data scientist to aggregate the submissions and create an interactive "EMF Heatmap".
Milestone 3: Awareness Campaign

- Draft and distribute a formal report on the impact of electronic congestion in designated urban areas.
Mission Downloads
The following files are pre-configured specifically for The "Magnetic Ghost" Hunter. Citizen Researchers can use these templates to compile legally verifiable, corroborating evidence for submission to municipal authorities or courts.
Submission Requirements
Citizen Researchers are required to submit these two files (completely filled out; the .json is pre-filled with Mission-specific metadata) alongside the raw evidence Phyphox screenshot (signed by ProofMode) for full review, validation, and payment.
Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)
Follow this step-by-step checklist to ensure your EMF readings are accurate and forensically valid.
1 Preparation & App Setup
- Target Identification: Locate a piece of heavy utility infrastructure (e.g., large green transformer boxes on sidewalks, areas directly under high-tension power lines).
- App Readiness: Ensure ProofMode and your Magnetometer/EMF app are installed and functioning.
- ProofMode Activation: Open ProofMode and ensure it is running in the background to capture metadata.
2 Baseline Reading
- Distance: Stand at least 50 feet away from the target infrastructure.
- Measurement: Open your Magnetometer app and observe the baseline reading (usually around 40-60 uT depending on your location).
3 The EMF Spike Capture
- Approach: Slowly walk towards the target infrastructure while watching the magnetometer reading.
- Proximity: Hold the phone near the infrastructure (within a few feet, but do not touch it or trespass).
- Capture: When the reading spikes significantly above the baseline, take a screenshot of the magnetometer app showing the elevated uT value.
4 Verification & Submission
- Metadata: Fill out the provided Evidence Metadata JSON file with your specific mission details (location description, baseline reading, spike reading).
- Upload: Upload the ProofMode zip file (containing the magnetometer screenshot) and the completed JSON metadata file to the RENSIC portal.
Mission Budget Breakdown
Total Funding Necessary: $150
The money will be used for the Rewards. Payout $5 for a verified "EMF Spike" submission (total 30 tasks) via PayPal.
