Operation Gold Eagle is our response to this massive, systemic financial abuse. We are crowdsourcing a nationwide audit of government spending, and we need your help to follow the money. Here is what we are doing:
- Digging into the Records: We need everyday citizens and forensic accountants alike to roll up their sleeves and dig into public financial records—from local city council vendor payments to massive federal grant databases like USAspending.gov.
- Hunting for Red Flags: We are looking for the classic signs of fraud: duplicate billing, wildly inflated project costs, and the "revolving door" of government officials handing contracts to their future employers.
- Cross-Referencing Data: By cross-referencing these public budgets with corporate registries and SEC filings, we can expose the exact mechanisms of this theft.
- Building a Public Ledger: We aren't just complaining about taxes; we are building an undeniable, public ledger of financial crimes to force real accountability and claw back stolen funds.
Primary Objective

Goal

What to Hunt For
When you're looking at the books, keep your eyes peeled for these classic red flags:
- The "Phantom" Vendors: Companies that received massive government contracts but have no website, no real office address, or were incorporated just days before the contract was awarded.
- Budget Padding: Projects where the final cost was mysteriously inflated by millions of dollars compared to the original approved budget, often through endless "change orders."
- The Revolving Door: Government officials who awarded contracts to companies, only to leave their government job and immediately start working for that exact same company.
- Duplicate Billing: Instances where different departments or agencies paid the same vendor for the exact same service.

- OpenCorporates: The largest open database of companies in the world. Use this to find out who actually owns the LLCs getting taxpayer money.
- SEC EDGAR: Look up financial reports for publicly traded companies involved in government contracts.
- Local City/County Portals: Don't ignore your own backyard. Search your local government's website for "Approved Budgets," "City Council Minutes," or "Vendor Payment Registers."
Independent Audits & FOIA Requests
Sometimes the data isn't online. We strongly encourage citizens to file Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) or local public records requests. If you request independent records:
- Always keep a copy of your original request and any correspondence with the government agency.
- If they try to charge you exorbitant fees for the records, document it. That's a story in itself.
- If you conduct physical audits (like visiting the supposed address of a contractor), take time-stamped photos, but never trespass on private property.
How to File Your Report
To get your findings verified and get paid, you need to show your work clearly. Package your evidence into one zip file containing:
1. The Receipts: The downloaded spreadsheets, contracts, or FOIA responses.
2. The Trail: A plain-text document explaining exactly how you connected the dots (e.g., "I found the contract on USAspending, then looked up the LLC on OpenCorporates...").
3. The Bottom Line: A short summary of the fraud or waste you uncovered and exactly how much money is involved.
